Northwest Center, a longtime provider of services for people with disabilities in Seattle, recently received a large donation from Salty's on Alki - a stretch limousine.
Proceeds from the sale of the limousine will help support the over 1,000 adults and children with disabilities served by Northwest Center in Washington.
Northwest Center is the largest non-profit in the Puget Sound that accepts donations of all types of automobiles including cars, trucks, airplanes, boats, military vehicles and construction equipment. The vehicles are cleaned and repaired before being sold to the community, resulting in an increased tax deduction for the donors. The money from the sale of the vehicles goes to support the programs.
"Salty's is a great supporter of non-profits throughout the region, especially Northwest Center," said Jean Kantu, of Associative Enterprises at Northwest Center. "This donation shows their commitment to helping people with disabilities."
Gerry Kingen, owner of Salty's Restaurants, said, "Northwest Center does such great work in the community. Salty's is happy to support their programs that help people with disabilities get jobs."
