Federal Way Symphony's Music Camp was a summer music experience filled with fun, plus knowledge. Musicians Todd Zimberg and Lonnie Mardis conducted the annual camp, held July 15 through 19.
The students experienced four days of exploring new ways to enjoy and use their instrument of choice. As a capstone to their camp, the students performed for their parents on Saturday, July 19, at the Pacific Rim Bonsai Garden.
This learning experience was fun, but the students admitted it took hard work and dedication as well.
The camp was also an opportunity for students to achieve higher confidence and stamina with their instrument, all in a setting that promoted having fun and meeting new friends that share the same interests.
The camp provides another way to reach out to the children of Federal Way and surrounding areas, and for students to gain another perspective on music.
