Cell phone stolen while woman was in church

1. A victim of theft contacted the Federal Way Police to report that an unknown person or persons had stolen her cell phone from inside her purse. The incident occurred sometime in the two weeks prior to August 8. The woman's report indicates that she left her bag unattended while she was inside the church located at 345 South 312th Street. The woman was up front singing at the time of the incident. The woman told police that she didn't realize it was missing until she got home. "Nowhere in my mind did I think any of my stuff would get stolen in my church," the woman told officers. The victim told police that she didn't report the incident earlier because she thought someone might have a change of heart and return it. It's been two weeks and the woman said she had to have a phone. Her insurance company requires a police report in order for her to file a claim for a new phone. There is no suspect information listed in the report. The phone in question is a black Nokia music express.
Woman loses phone, unknown person still checking voicemail
2. A woman contacted the Federal Way police to report that her cell phone had turned up missing. The woman has still been unable to find the Motorola w490 phone, valued at $80. The woman told police that she has been looking for it ever since. Her online records show that someone has been checking her voicemail several times, the most recent being around midnight on August 8. The woman said the thieves have not made any phone calls with her Motorola, but they have added a service to her contract that has increased her bill every month. She told police she didn't know if the person who took or found her phone has been sending or receiving text messages. The woman said she has been trying to leave voicemails on her own phone to request that the person in possession of the phone return it to her. There is no suspect information in this case. The woman lives on the 33700 block of 32nd Avenue Southwest.
Victim mugged by four Asian males
3. A victim called 911 to report that he was robbed and assaulted by four unknown Asian males. The incident took place around 3:10 a.m. on the morning of August 13. The report filed by the victim states that he was hanging out near the intersection of 312th and Pacific Highway South when he was approached by four unknown Asian males. The suspects assaulted him, injuring his head, and took $20 from his wallet. The victim told police that the suspects fled north on Pacific Highway South on foot. In their on-site investigation, officers indicated that the victim did not wish to file a report. He was cleared by South King County fire for his head injury. The man told officers that nothing other than his $20 was missing from the incident, and that he had no idea of the suspects' identity.
Man catches garage-fleeing thieves in action
4. The resident of a home on the 28100 block of 28th Avenue South contacted Federal Way police to report that he witnessed two unknown suspect fleeing his garage in the middle of the night. The incident took place around 2:50 a.m. on the morning of August 13. The man told police that he woke up to the sound of his garage door opening. When he opened the door, he saw two unknown suspects running out of his garage. The officers conducted a K9 search of the area without success. The man told police that the suspects gained access to the garage by breaking into his vehicle and stealing various items, including the garage door opener. The man owns a blue 2006 Ford. There is no suspect information listed in the report, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Another mugging near Southwest 312th Street
5. A man contacted Federal Way police to report that he had been assaulted and robbed near Sam's Market, located near the 700 block of Southwest 312th Street. The victim told officers that the attackers punched and kicked him repeatedly, causing him serious bodily injury. The man said that his shoes were taken as well. The officers located the victim's clothing at the scene and returned them to him. The report states that the man was treated at St. Francis hospital for a broken nose, a missing tooth and lacerations to his face. The victim had no clear suspect information other than the mob consisted of three to four males with dark skin.
Wal-mart shoplifter attempts to make off with food and camping gear
6. Representatives from the loss-prevention department of Wal-mart contacted Federal Way police to report that they had intercepted a shoplifter in the act of stealing various items from their store. The witness stated that she observed the woman, Lou Ann Mesa, attempting to leave the store with two items: a piece of camping gear by Coleman, valued at $79.94, and food, valued at $8.20. The witness said Mesa made no attempt to pay for the items and had already passed the opened registers. The incident took place at the Wal-mart store, located at 34520 16th Avenue South, around 2:20 p.m. on August 13.
Officers investigate reported domestic assault
7. Federal Way offices responded to a call about a possible domestic abuse situation at an apartment complex located at 32029 11th Place South. The call regarded the possible assault between a 10 year old boy and his mother. Dispatch advised officers that the mosther was at work and the child was home alone. Upon arrival, the child stated that his mother hits him in his back whenever he is in trouble. He also stated that his mother took away his cartoon privileges. Officers could not find any signs of injury or bruising on his back.
