City of SeaTac photo

Landscaping at the Village at Angle Lake was part of a neighborhood grant from the City of SeaTac.
The City of SeaTac is seeking applications to their Neighborhood Grant Program, which provides citizen groups matching funds for neighborhood improvement projects.
The purpose of the program is to encourage cooperation as neighborhoods build their identity, clean up and undertake beatification projects.
Projects can include signage, kiosks, landscaped traffic islands or portions of a right-of-way, community gardens or parks, historical markers, neighborhood curbside clean up day, or other unique ideas.
As a 50 percent matching grant program citizens typically fulfill their half of the matching funds through volunteer labor and donations.
Projects must meet program requirements, be completed within six months of approval and usually limited to $5,000 in matching funds. The city council may approve more expensive projects.
There are already several projects under consideration for the future but funding is available for additional requests that meet all the criteria.
