Police chase down suicidal suspect

1. Federal Way officers arrived at the scene of a possible suicide attempt at the View at the Lake Apartment complex located on the 30600 block of Pacific Highway South. When the police pulled into the apartment complex, they witnessed the suicidal subject pull away in a vehicle. The subject was driving very fast, the report stated. Officers caught up with the subject at the Great Floors parking lot nearby. When they approached the subject, the officers observed serveral cuts on both of his wrists. The officers determined that the cuts looked self-inflicted and intentional. The officers questioned the subject, asking him if he intended to kill himself. The subject responded by saying "no." The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. on the morning of September 2. No other information is listed in the report.
Strong arm robbery leaves man with injury and no wallet
2. Federal Way police followed up on a 911 call indicating a robbery and assault had taken place in the city. The incident occurred near 104 Southwest 312th Street, around 12:45 a.m. on the morning of September 2. When officers arrived at the scene of the assault, they determined that a man had been the victim of a strong arm robbery. The victim told police that he was punched and kicked by two unknown persons. The muggers took the man's wallet, which included his driver's license, a store credit card and $200 in currency. The police indicated in their report that subject had sustained several visible injuries to his face. The victim stated that both suspects fled the scene before the officers arrived. Officers conducted a K-9 search of the area, which turned up negative. There is no suspect information at this time, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.

3. Federal Way police followed up on another 911 call indicating an assault had taken place. A male victim told officers that he was assaulted by the driver of a blue 2000 BMW. The incident took place on the 100 block of South 348th Street around 12:50 p.m. on the morning of September 2, shortly after the previous assault listed in this police log. The victim sustained injuries, but it is unclear the extent to which he was hurt. The victim was able to document the driver's license plate number. He also gave police a physical description of the subject. There was no physical evidence taken from the scene, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.

4. Shortly after the previous incident, another victim contacted Federal Way police to report that he, too, had been attacked by an unknown person on the morning of September 2. This incident took place around 1:30 a.m. near 30823 18th Avenue South. The victim told police that he was walking to a friends house early that morning when the suspect came out of hiding and punched him in the lip. The victim told officers that he believes the suspect lives nearby. Officers attempted to contact the suspect in the location suggested by the victim, but were unable to locate him. The officers told police to contact them if he saw the supect again. The victim sustained a small cut on his lip. He told officers that nothing was taken from him by the suspect.
Fight breaks out in Federal Way
5. Federal Way police were dispatched to the site of a fight in progress at 30816 Pacific Highway South. The 911 call indicated that approximately 10 subjects were involved in the incident. Upon arriving at the scene, officers did not discover anyone in the act of fighting. This incident took place around 1:15 a.m. on the morning of September 2. When the officers examined the scene, they discoverd a victim sitting on the sidewalk with his face covered in blood from severe facial injuries. The officer immediately called for aid for the victim's injuries, then began to conduct an interview to learn more about the incident. However, the victim was uncooperative and denied knowing anything about the incident. The victim also wanted to refuse medical aid for his injuries. No other information is listed in the police report.
Traffic stops leads to drug bust for driver in possession
6. Federal Way officers pulled over the driver of a red 1991 Honda after being stopped for a defective headlight. The incident took place on the 600 block of Southwest Campus Drive. Officers pulled over the driver around 3:30 a.m. on the morning of September 2. Upon checking the driver's information, it was determined that she was in violation of driving with a suspended license in the third degree. The driver was determined to be Andrea J. Kirkwood. When the officers searched Kirkwood's vehicle, they discovered that she was in possession of marijuana. The driver was cited for possession of the drugs and released at the scene. Her red 1991 Honda was impounded by Pro Towing of Federal Way following the incident. Officers reported that they took several digital photographs of the scene. The report states that Federal Way police also confiscated the marijuana and booked it into evidence.
