1. Federal Way police followed up on a call regarding some malicious mischief that occurred to a man's vehicle. The victim, who lives on the 1700 block of South 344th Street contacted Federal Way officers to report that an unknown person or person cut the gas hose under his vehicle and siphoned off all the gas from his previously full tank. The incident took place around 7 a.m. on the morning of September 17. The victim's car was a 2003 Chevrolet, color not listed in the report. The victim's didn't discover the missing hose until the next day, when they went to fill up the car and saw that the gas they had just pumped had leaked onto the ground. The victims told officers that they had to buy a new hose and have it installed before they were able to leave the gas station. The total damage, not inlcluding the cost of lost gasoline was $100. There is no suspect information listed in the report and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Woman reports wallet stolen from shopping cart at Federal Way business
2. Federal Way police followed up on a report indicating a woman had been the victim of property theft. The woman was shopping at a store located at 32521 Pacific Highway South. The incident took place around 7:15 a.m. on the morning of September 17. The woman told officers that she took a few steps away from the shopping cart that her wallet was in. She said she turned and looked the other direction and when she went back to the cart, she discovered that her wallet was missing. The wallet was hidden under her jacket. The rest of the time prior to the incident, the woman said the wallet was completely under her control. The wallet is gold and pewter colored, the woman reported. The unknown person or persons who took the wallet also made off with the victim's drivers license, insurance ID card, credit cards, check cards, and her passport. The woman also reported that there was a Starbuck's gift card in her wallet as well, but no cash. There is no suspect information in the case and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Car prowlers nab Sony car stereo
3. The driver of a blue 1992 GMC contacted Federal Way police to report that an uknown person or persons had broken into his vehicle and stolen his Sony stereo and televison. The report states that the driver parked his GMC at the 27600 Pacific Highway South Park and Ride and locked the door. When he returned to his vehicle, he noticed that the key slot was turned 45 degrees to the right. The driver realigned the key slot and inserted the key but found the door unlocked. The dash section of his vehicle containing the radio was removed along with the radio and tray. The radio was a Sony CDX-GT620IP CD Receiver. The driver told officers that he does not have the serial number. The incident took place around 7:10 a.m. on the morning of September 17. There is no suspect information or witnesses in the case, and officers have closed their investigation pending new leads.
