The Judson Park retirement facility will celebrate the grand opening of the Sound View apartment homes on Oct. 1 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Sound View is a 24 million dollar redevelopment project, which consists of 64 new residential living apartments and rejuvenation of Judson Park's main lobby and grounds.
Apartments boast of views of Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains and feature amenities such as granite counter tops and spacious floor plans.
The grand opening ceremony will be held at Judson Park, at 23600 Marine View Drive South in Des Moines. The event is open to the public.
Participants include Des Moines Mayor Bob Sheckler, city manager Tony Piasecki and Sen. Karen Keiser.
Festivities will include musical entertainment and hors' devours served during the reception. Tours of Judson Park and a model apartment will be available.
Judson Park retirement community is a continuing care community in Des Moines. There are over 300 residents who live on campus and Jud Judson Park expansion to open
on Park employs more than 200 staff members.
