Sore loser

A simple domino game turned sour after a loser refused to pay up ($80), threw a brick through the host's sliding glass door ($1,500), and then threatened to burn the host's house down.
Near 13th and Myrtle, a couple was concerned to see a young boy standing on the street corner in the dark. He told them he was waiting for his mom, who had left him on the curb after they had argued in the car. He wore only a thin t-shirt, pants, and no jacket, as well as one black shoe and one pink ballet slipper. The citizens called 911 and officers came to investigate. The mother was not at home, and officers left a note to contact them at the precinct. She claimed that the boy had run off and that she hadn?t looked for him or called 911 because she was "tired of calling the police and getting no help." After speaking with his sergeant about the incident, the officer booked the woman into King County Jail for investigation of criminal mistreatment. The boy was taken by DSHS.
As she worked in the safety patrol at Concord Elementary School, a young girl was approached by a driver who wanted to know if she lived in the area. She did not respond and reported the incident to her principal.
In the 3900 block of SW Monroe, a number of citizens reported a loud and escalating argument between two men and a woman. When officers arrived, the woman disappeared into a home, and the two men became aggressive and refused to tell officers what had occurred. One repeatedly threatened to "take out" one of the officers but was held back by the other, who turned out to be his brother. Both ended up fighting officers and were arrested, one for investigation of harassment, and both for investigation of hindering law enforcement.
As they drove past a convenience store, officers saw a teen perched on the curb in the pouring rain. She was wearing a tank top, jeans, and flip flops and was picking up change in the street. She was severely intoxicated and said she had been selling magazines for a man who was supposed to pick her up and take her to a hotel in Fife, where the sales crew was staying. Officers contacted the girl?s mom in Puyallup and learned that she is a chronic runaway. She was taken to detox at Harborview.
An Alki-area resident arrived home and discovered that someone had gained access to his home through a rear window that had been left open for circulation. The only things missing? His seven guns, which had been stored in a bedroom closet.
A 19-year-old was booked into King County Jail after he shoved his mother down a flight of stairs. When officers arrived, the young man was under the influence of a substance and holding his 6-month old daughter, and refused to hand her over to a relative. The child was safely retrieved, and the suspect was booked for investigation of domestic violence harassment and assault.
As he drove past a bus stop at 12th and S. Cloverdale, an officer recognized a man who was wanted on a $2,500 dangerous drugs felony warrant. He took the suspect into custody and booked him into King County Jail. And at 17th and Henderson, an officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the driver, a north-end resident, was wanted on a $2,000 hit and run warrant. He, too, was booked into King County Jail.
