Dancegoers are encouraged to dress to the theme of a '50s sock hop!
Admission to the show is $15 per person. The Elks will provide a 'no host bar' and will sell burgers and fries before and during the show.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Bridgette Kennelly, a singer/pianist, will open the show at 7 p.m. The Bean Barry Delights will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. The new album will be available for sale.
The Delights were formed in the fall of 1971. Hailing from Burien and White Center, they developed an enthusiastic following, and achieved success on the local club circuit. They were known for their authentic recreation of the 50s music and their zany stage theatrics.
They disbanded in 1975, but in 2003 the surviving members reformed the band.
Their line-up consists of two guitars, pedal steel, bass, drums, piano, two saxes and eight vocalists. Featured in their song list are, "At the Hop", "In the Still of the Night", "Blue Moon" and "Rock Around the Clock".
The Burien Elks Lodge is located at 14006 1st Ave St. in Burien. The phone number is 206-243-2143.
Tickets are $15 per person. They are available from Steve Teasley/Farmer's Insurance, 10043 16th Ave S.W. in White Center, or at the Burien Elks Lodge.
