3A boys state meet
Michael Miller of Mount Rainier High School won the individual title for Class 3A boys at the state cross country meet held Saturday, Nov. 8 in Kennewick.
Miller posted a time of 15 minutes, 18 seconds.
Steven Dolan of the Rams placed 81st in 17:10 and Devin Powell came in 96th in 17:33. Trevor Larson came in 110th in 17:35 and James McLean of Mount Rainier placed 114th in 17:41. Tyler Hall of the Rams was 131st in 18:31 and Benjamin Brodin was 136th in 18:50.
3A girls state meet
Mount Rainier finished 14th as a team on the girls side of the state action, with Palco Mwenesi taking 46th place in 20:01.
1A boys cross country
Seattle Christian took sixth place on the boys side at the Saturday, Nov. 8 meet, finishing with 192 points. Michael Cross finished 20th for the Warriors, posting a time of 17:05.

Ev. Luth. 3, Bear Creek 1
The Eagles of Evergreen Lutheran scored a 25-21, 27-25, 16-25, 25-19 victory over Bear Creek at the Saturday, March 8 meet and the Eagles also defeated Shoreline, 3-0, and took a 3-1 loss to Camas.

The Wolverines of White Center came up short against Olympic by a 3-1 score.

State playoffs
Camas 5, Mt. Rainier 1
Clarissa Strayer of Mount Rainier scored the Rams’ lone goal in its state opener last Tuesday. The goal came in the 43rd minute.
Kennedy 5, Peninsula 0
Chelsea Lockhart of Kennedy posted the shutout on goal against Peninsula last Tuesday.
Kirsten Olson scored first on a Debbie Kurle assist and Shey Thommasen knocked in an Amy Holland assist to make it a 2-0 game. Rebekah Kurle was assisted by Alexa Diaz after that and Rebekah Kurle struck unassisted to make it 4-0 in the 66th minute of play. Obia Myanbke was assisted by Diaz in the 76th minute.
