The Federal Way Chorale welcomes audiences to its annual Christmas concert, held on Saturday, December 13, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, December 14, at 2:30 p.m. Both performances will be take place at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, located at 515 S. 312th, in Federal Way.
The Federal Way Chorale welcomes audiences to its annual Christmas concert. This year's production is entitled "The Great Mystery and Wonder of Christmas."
The concert features 20th century choral masterworks, including what the group calls a mesmerizing signature piece, "O Magnum Mysterium," by Morten Lauridsen, the delightful "Gloria" by John Ness, and "Lux Aurumque."
Also included will be lighter fare consisting of carols and octavos with a Christmas theme including "Christmas Day" a choral fantasy by Gustov Holtz and "Go,Tell It on the Mountain" arranged by Robert Sterling, traditional pieces the audience will fondly remember. The concert will be sung almost entirely acapella.
The group is led by Laird Thornton, Artistic Director.
Federal Way Chorale will host two performances, one on Saturday, December 13, at 8 p.m., and the other on Sunday, December 14, at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and children 12 and under are free.
