So many of us worked so hard for so many years attending dozens of meetings fighting against the third runway.
We knew that the Port would do or say anything to get their precious runway built.
And now everyone knows what we hardcore fighters knew all along. The scandal-ridden Port staff admits they lied many times and misused our tax dollars.
And the sad irony of the recent Seattle Times headline says it all, "Neighbors Feel Duped Over 3rd Runway Noise"
Two years ago, I called several real estate agents who had homes listed right under the proposed new flight path and was shocked that they had not been given information by the Port about how a new flight path would eventually put planes right over these homes.
So many of the new buyers did not know this information. When it comes to the Port of Seattle, "buyer beware" takes on a new meaning.
When it comes to the Port of Seattle, quality of life in our neighborhoods is expendable.
Like I have said many times, disgraced Port Commissioner-in-Denial Pat Davis and her well-paid Port executive pals should be forced to live under the flight path for a few years, for the mess they have created, and get a taste of why we all fought so hard against them.
Now that would be karma.
