Learn about raising healthy kids with Joe Piscatella, learn what's up with your health, and sample an exercise class at next month's Community Health Fair, a free event sponsored by the City of Federal Way.
The health fair is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 10 at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd Street. Also sponsoring are St. Francis Hospital and Ball Chiropractic.
Joe Piscatella, founder of the Institute for Fitness and Health and one of the country's leading authorities on changing behavior to increase health and productivity, is giving a free presentation at 11 a.m. on raising healthy kids.
The health fair includes glucose/cholesterol screenings, blood pressure testing, body composition analysis, bone density testing and posture screening. Resources and information will also be available in the following areas:

hearing
infection prevention
naturopathy
optometry
podiatry
sleep
therapy - occupational, physical and vision
weight management
women's health
"We wanted to provide a free event to the public that provides the information they need to live healthy lives," shared Kimberly Shelton, fitness and athletic coordinator for the community center.
Free childcare will be provided onsite for ages 1 to 11 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
