I have been skateboarding since childhood. I have no car or bicycle and I use my skateboard as transportation. Skateboarders should not be cutting across traffic in the middle of the road; that is as dangerous as a bicyclist who suddenly cuts across the road. The bike lane pavement is ideal for skateboarding. Our transportation deserves equal rights. A helmet law would be fine, as long as I can skateboard to work!
