Fall is a good time to report street lights out in your neighborhood. Report them to Seattle City Light online at: http://www.seattle.gov/light/streetlight/form.asp. Or, call 206-684-7056.
City Light employees will need:
- The light pole number. Poles with more than one lamp will have more than one number. For an example, go to: http:/www.seattle.gov/light/streetlight/
- Look for the address nearest the pole to help workers locate the correct pole.
- Identify the nature of the problem, such a damaged pole, burned out light, rapidly cycling light, light on in daylight, glare, etc.)
- City Light asks for your name and phone number, in case of needed follow up.
- Repairs may take up to eight weeks, depending on demand.
To follow up:
- If you live north of Denny Way, call 206-615-0600.
- If you live south of Denny Way, call 206-386-4200.

Your Neighborhood Payment Information Service (NPIS) locations are giving out FREE compact fluorescent bulbs (CFL) in September and October. When you pay your City Light bill at an NPIS location, you’ll get three CFLs, courtesy of Seattle City Light. “Lighten your Bill” is an effort to reduce energy consumption and help the earth. Visit www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/nsc to find the closest NPIS location near you, or call 206-684-CITY (684-2489).
