Two Federal Way football teams were in action Friday, but neither team emerged as a winner.
Todd Beamer High School emerged with the closest game, taking a high-scoring 25-13 loss to Spanaway Lake in a South Puget Sound League South Division opening contest.
Thomas Jefferson journeyed to Tahoma High School in Maple Valley and absorbed a 26-6 loss as its reward.
The Raiders return to action with a 7 p.m. SPSL North Division home game against Kentridge Friday, and Todd Beamer is home playing Graham-Kapowsin in SPSL South action at Federal Way Memorial Saturday.
