Seattle King County Realtors select Dennis Brown as 2010 president
Thu, 02/18/2010
Dennis W. Brown, a sales associate at Windermere Real Estate/Fauntleroy, Inc. in West Seattle, has been elected 2010 president of the Seattle KingCounty REALTORS®. Joining him to lead the association are five other officers, 12 directors and an affiliate member liaison.
Brown’s real estate experience spans nearly 20 years, including doing business as part of the award-winning “Murphy Brown Team.” Along with his active involvement with SKCR, he serves in leadership positions with Washington Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
A former mortgage broker and bank loan officer, Brown is one of only six Realtors in Washington state to hold the “certified instructor” designation from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. He has also earned several professional designations and certifications.
Brown, who has been a realtor for 20 years, and with Windermere for 14 years, said, "My goal in becoming President is to reach out to members who have been struggling in this economy and let them know there are plenty of free resources available to them." Brown pointed out that, "There are lot of houses being bought and sold you just have to show up! In fact sales are up 46% year over year. That's a pretty amazing statistic."
