The Ballard High School girls team lost 7-0 to Mercer Island April 29.

Coach Charles Brenner said the Beavers handled the match well and learned a lot against arguably the best tennis school in the area.

Ballard's next match is against Juanita at 3:45 p.m. on May 4 at the Lower Woodland tennis courts.
