Saturday evening, officers investigated a disturbance at Alki, in which two intoxicated males were trying to pick fights with beach goers. The two suspects were found sitting on a log and were surrounded by opened beer cans and other unopened alcoholic beverages. A records check showed that one of the men, a SeaTac resident, was wanted on a $10,000 misdemeanor warrant for theft. He was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
A patron drank six servings of spiced rum at a Junction establishment on Saturday afternoon, mumbled that he didn't have any money with him but that he had a million dollars in the bank. Officers took him—along with the 57 cents in his pocket—to King County Jail.
Though they didn't bother to take anything, unknown persons slashed the fabric on the front seats of a car parked in the 4400 block of 45th overnight Friday.
Early Tuesday, an officer spotted a car after hours in the closed Don Armeni Park. Inside were two brothers, both intoxicated and both with a history of problems: The driver had a suspended license and is considered a “habitual offender.” The passenger was wanted on a $1,000 felony drug warrant (King County) and a $3,100 DUI warrant (SeaTac). He was booked into King County Jail and will also be held for Kent and Federal Way officials who want to talk to him about $12,700 worth of DUI-related warrants. As the uncooperative driver yelled obscenities and called a friend for a ride, the officers poured out what was left of the 18-pack of Bud Light the brothers were sharing.
Thursday afternoon, an obviously intoxicated man stumbled through the Alaska Junction, dropping over 20 packs of cigarettes along the way. A records check showed that the 37-year-old Arbor Heights resident is a registered sex offender whose first condition of parole is “not to possess, buy or consume alcohol.” A corrections officer had police take the man into custody.
