For 87 years the community of White Center has celebrated Jubilee Days and after a year when the event was cancelled due to "volunteer burnout" it's back and promises to be better than ever. It is a Seafair Sanctioned Community Event. The theme for the ethnically diverse community for 2010 is "Come Together, Embrace Our Differences." During the event you will be able to buy T-shirts and other festival memorabilia . Jubilee Days is a family event, intended to build community pride and unity. It represents an opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other, and interact with community service providers and local businesses.
2010 will mark the 22nd year that White Center has participated in a Seafair sanctioned community event. At this year's Jubilee Days a locally grown Farmers Market will be staged. To start the event with a bang (so to speak) a fireworks display in conjunction with the carnival will take place. You can purchase Carnival Tickets now by contacting a WCJD member.

Wider distribution for WCJD members will happen next week. Visitors will note that there are quite a few returning vendors, and will see musical and magic performers, a carnival, children's entertainers, the famous Beer Garden and can participate in the Golf Tournament and watch the Parade on July 17.

Among the new events for 2010 are an Auto Show and Shine, The White Center Garden Tour, and an all new Ambassador Program with Scholarships for Seniors from local High Schools who are planning for college next year.

Sat. July 10
Golf tournament at Foster Links in Tukwilla. Starts at Noon. 4 man scramble. Lunch and prizes for everyone.
Sun. July 11.
Garden Tour of White Center, Burien, and West Seattle. Begins at noon. Starting at McLendons Hardware in White Center.
Wed. July 14.
Carnival opens at Steve Cox Park in White Center. Time approximate 4 pm.
Wed. July 14.
Fireworks show at Steve Cox Park in White Center. Time approximate 9:30 pm.
Sat July 16.
Jubilee Days street fair begins at 9am to 10 pm on 17th Ave S W from Roxbury Ave. south to 100th Ave S W.
Two stages of music, street vendors, food, and a children's center. Show & Shine car event in the DSHS parking lot.
Located on 15th Ave S W between Roxbury and 98th Ave S W- starts at noon.
Sun. July 17.
Street fair continues starting at 9 am till 7pm, with the parade starting at approximately 10:15 am from 114th Ave S W going north up 16th Ave S W to 104th Ave S W.
