Police Blotter week of 7-05-10
Mon, 07/05/2010
Around 3 a.m. Monday, officers found a car parked in the middle of the 7500 block of 26th SW. Alongside it was a man standing over a woman lying face down in the street. The man was ordered to the ground and placed into handcuffs. But he was released when their stories matched up: The woman (highly intoxicated) became sick as they drove home. She asked the man to pull over and upon opening the door she fell out onto the street and split her eyebrow open on the pavement.
In the 6000 block of 37th, a woman placed a bag on the porch as she was getting ready to leave for the airport. Twenty minutes later, it was gone. And in the 3800 block of 44th SW, a woman confronted a man she saw taking a package from her porch. He returned the item and drove off with a male companion in a cream-colored four-door sedan.
Three men were arrested and booked for investigation of burglary after they were found occupying a home for sale in the Highland Park neighborhood.
Just after midnight Wednesday, three black males in a gray Toyota Corolla confronted a man walking down Delridge, demanded his cell phone, and then drove away “erratically.”
Around 1 a.m. Tuesday, a citizen called 911, concerned about the welfare of a confused woman walking in the 6500 block of Beach Drive. Officers found her limping and said she had been walking most of the day and just needed a place to sleep. She admitted that she was schizophrenic and off her meds. An ID check showed that she was a missing person from Everett. She was transported to Harborview for treatment.
A Westwood-area resident was officially trespassed from Southwest Pool after being seen, uh, pleasuring himself in public.
A 25-year-old reports that he was robbed by two black males who emerged from a car near 14th and Holden. One asked for the name of the nearest bar and then demanded the contents of his pockets. One of the suspects held the victim from behind and punched him several times in the face. Both suspects were 18-21 years old, thin, and wore dark baseball caps. One wore a white sweatshirt and the second wore a blue sweatshirt. They remain at large.
Waiting for a friend in the alley in the 8800 block of Delridge Way, a woman driver was approached by a man who pointed a gun and said “get out of the car.” She handed him her wallet, and as he reached for it she sped off down the alley. The suspect remains at large. He is a black male, about 20 years old, with a slim build and wearing a black baseball hat, blue short-sleeved shirt, jeans, and white and gray shoes.
The woman called 911 and claimed her “Baby Daddy” (her phrase) had assaulted her. Told that the man of that name was currently in prison, and when shown a booking photo of him, she said, “No, that's not Baby Daddy. But I do know this guy. When is he getting out? I'd like to see him again.” Told he was incarcerated for second-degree rape, she said, “Oh, that's too bad.” After more discussion, she agreed that she apparently didn't know her Baby Daddy's real name.
