Mt. Rainier 142, K-M 36
Mount Rainier finished with a glistening 7-0 overall record and 5-0 in South Puget Sound League action. It was the Rams' first year in the Class 4A SPSL South after competing previously in the Seamount League.
Courtney Larson, Rachel Althauser, Megan Kawaguchi and Mackenzie Marrs opened the meet for Mount Rainier by winning the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1 minute, 58.71 seconds and Kawaguchi went on to win the 200 individual medley in 2:20.91.
Larson won the 50 freestyle in 26.38 and Emily DaDalto scored 55 points to win diving. Stephanie Reusch took the 100 butterfly in 1:10.79 and Jackie Beal won the 500 free in 5:38.84. The Rams' Reusch, Bernie Ward, Erica Young and Beal won the 200 free relay in 1:51.09 and Kawaguchi took first in the 100 backstroke in 1:03.93.
Mount Rainier capped off the meet by winning the 400 free relay in 3:58.12. Kawaguchi, Young, Larson and Marrs all swam on that team.

Kennedy Catholic opened Thursday's Seamount League meet with Thach, Anderson, Moffatt and Crockett winning the 200 medley relay in 2:10.72, then Amy Bassett won the 200 free in 2:26.08 and Vanessa Moffatt took the 200 IM in 2:20.45. Audrey Griggs won the 50 free in 26.13 and Nina Coluccio scored 156.05 points to win the diving competition.
Amy Bassett won the 100 fly in 1:12.70 and Mariah Crockett took the 100 free in 57.66. Amanda Thach won the 500 free in a state-qualifying 5:24.67 and Crockett, Moffatt, Anderson and Thach took the 200 free relay in a state-qualifying 1:44.84.
Shaelanna White won the 100 back in 1:15.84 and Thach took the 100 breast in 1:16.78. The Lancers won the final 400 free relay in 4:38.82 with the efforts of Bassett, Patton, Whisler and White.

Foster topped Evergreen Thursday, but Highline and Tyee lost two each because of a lack of a complete team.
Seamount League meet
Jenny Donohue of Kennedy Catholic finished sixth in 22:05 in the girls race at the Seamount meet and Yohana Salzano of Foster took seventh in 22:05. Grace Stephens of Highline came in 11th in 22:45.
Enzo Martinez of Foster won the boys race in 19:43 ahead of Evergreen's Shawn Damey in 19:46.
Four Foster runners followed, with Ryan Keo taking third in 19:53 ahead of Devonte Green in 20:16, Naveed Shaiwayana in 20:20 and Connor Forsyth in 20:42.
Riley Kobach of Evergreen was seventh in 21:18 ahead of teammate Richard Carlstrom in 21:22.
Romeo Quach of Foster was next in 21:43 and Jacob Ebey of Evergreen was 10th in 22:03 ahead of Eduardo Rojas of Foster in 22:22.

The Totems -- who have had to forfeit all of their Seamount League season because of a lack of players -- played a non-league game Friday and won, 28-10, over Bridgeport.

Seattle Christian has combined with Life Christian to form a football team, and the squad put away Vashon Island Friday, 49-21.
