Counterfeit laundry detergent
Customs officials in Seattle launched an investigation related to alleged importation of thousands of boxes of counterfeit laundry detergent. ICE agents applied for a search warrant for a SeaTac residence, asserting several Seattle area men have been importing Chinese-made detergent by cargo container. One container seized earlier this year in Seattle was found to contain 52,080 bags of laundry detergent labeled as Tide or Ariel brand products. Officers seized a shipment on Sept. 14 after noting the manufacturer listed was a Chinese firm known to produce counterfeit detergent.
Agents seized 5,000 boxes of detergent marked Tide and allegedly produced in the United States. The agent claimed those shipments, as well as two others, had been brought into the country on behalf of a SeaTac janitor who'd previously imported items from China for sale in Africa.
Agents searched the man's apartment Nov. 5 and seized documents. Court records do not show any charges filed against the man.

Transient stabs woman
A 38-year-old transient man randomly stabbed a woman in the chest at a Des Moines bus stop around 10 a.m. Nov 24. The man, who police described as mentally unstable, asked another man who was waiting at the bus stop in the 23000 block of Pacific Highway South, for a cigarette. The second man replied that he did not have any; the first man became angry, walked away but the quickly returned. While at the bus stop the man said something incoherent to a 22-year-old woman, then stabbed her in the chest with a steak knife.
The man fled west across Pac Hwy, dropping the knife in the roadway. A witness flagged down a Kent police officer who was at a nearby stoplight. The office chased the man and he was arrested at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Shell gas station.
The female victim was conscious and stable when medics arrived and she was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Des Moines officers had one prior contact with the suspect last week. They were called to the Walgreen's parking lot, near the gas station, for reports of a disorderly man. He was trespassed from the store. He is currently booked at RJC in Kent on investigation of felony assault.

Woman punches Metro bus with soda can
Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at the Burien Park and Ride, 14900 4 Ave S.W.
Radio dispatch advised officers a female, not wearing shoes, had punched a metro bus with a large soda can. Deputies arrived and made contact with the female. She was asked why she was hitting the Metro bus with the soda can. She said, "I don't know" and began to act out violently and shake her body as if she was possessed.
The woman didn't know where she was or how she got to the Burien Park and Ride. The woman had approached a metro bus driver, and other people and she swung her large can of soda at them as if to hit them with it. She did that until the citizens believed she would have attacked one of them. She would not answer any of the officers' questions and rambled on saying she had meth and a ''fifth'' of ''Yagermeister.'' She was not able to communicate as to what she needed or what was wrong with her, and was a danger to others as she acted out violently toward the public and caused them to be in fear of being assaulted by her as she swung a large can at them.
Tri Med arrived on scene and transported her to Highline Medical Center where a certified mental health professional talked to her.
