Bystanders at the 7-Eleven on Roosevelt had to tell a Green Lake resident to stop jumping up and down, and get home to hide her ticket after she realized she won $170,000 playing Hit 5, a draw game from Washington’s Lottery.

The lucky winner stopped by 7-Eleven to pick up a bottle of water and check to see if she had any winning tickets. When she saw her winning prize she couldn't believe it. First she thought she won $1,700 then $17,000. Finally she had to call the clerk over to find out the final amount.

“He said, ‘No, no, I've been waiting for you to come in, it's $170,000," she said. "I went home and hid my ticket in in my room. I kept checking throughout the night to make sure it was still there. When I woke up this morning, I was worried it was all a dream.”

The winner said winning the Lottery is a Christmas miracle. “Things are getting better for the industry, but this money will be very helpful."

The first thing she intends to buy is a doggy bed for her new puppy.

The winning ticket was bought at 9126 Rossevelt Way in Seattle which will receive a retail selling bonus of $1,700.
