Highline Forum--Members of the Highline Forum will meet at the Airport Conference Center in the Amsterdam Conference Room from 2:30 to 4:30 PM. A Part 150 Noise Study Discussion is part of the agenda. The public is invited to observe with the opportunity to ask questions and make comments near the end of the meeting. The Highline Forum includes the southwest King County communities of Des Moines, Burien, Normandy Park, SeaTac, Tukwila and Federal Way and the Highline School District and Port of Seattle. Ocean Acidification--Feb. 19, Presentation of the ways that increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere affects basic ocean chemistry and what that means for Puget Sound.
Women and Whales of the Pacific Northwest: What they have in common--March 5, Founder and director of The Urban Wilderness Project Jourdan Keith explores the ways humans and wildlife share the same ecology, and like it or not, how our fates are intertwined.
