Police Blotter: Man stabbed near Ballard High School; Man fired at in park; and an assault that did not occur

10:55 p.m. on February 1st. 65th Block of 15th Ave N.W.
The Seattle Police Department reports that on Tuesday evening around 11:30 p.m, North Precinct officers responded to Ballard Swedish Hospital on a report of a stabbing victim that had just walked into the Emergency Room.
The 23-year-old male victim said he had been in a car with a group of friends when he had an encounter with the driver of another car near N.W. 65th Street and 15th Avenue N.W. The car the victim was riding in was stopped and another car pulled up next to it. The victim, seated in the backseat, rolled down the window, as did the driver of the other car. They began yelling at each other and both men got out of their cars. The victim and the suspect began fighting in the street and then both got back into their cars.
Once in the car, the victim realized that he had been stabbed and was driven to Ballard Swedish Hospital. The victim was later transported to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries.
Officers interviewed all of the friends and witnesses available. Friends of the victim did not provide a lot of information, but it was later determined that the victim and suspect may have known each other and that this was part of an ongoing feud. Officers conducted an area search but did not locate the suspect. The case has been forwarded to detectives for follow up investigation.
7:30 p.m. on February 1st. 90th Block of 2nd Ave N.W. Sandel Park.
On Tuesday evening, police responded to a call from a man claiming he was fired at in Sandel Park in Greenwood.
The victim was walking his dog when he heard gunshots and saw two teenagers walk out of the park.
The man told police that the teens fired six shots at a wooden fence on 2nd Ave and N.W. 90th Street.
According to the police report, the man shouted, "What the hell are you guys doing" at the teens. The teens were "giggling," and then fired three shots at the man.
The man dove to the ground and ran to a nearby home to call 911.
Police brought in a K9 unit, but weren't able to locate the suspects. No damaged property or shell casings were found.
1:50 a.m. on January 29th. 43th Block Linden Ave N.
Early Saturday morning, a woman was assaulted as she went for a late-night jog around 1:50 a.m.
North Precinct officers responded to a 911 call from a woman at N. 43rd Street and Linden Avenue N.
The victim stated that she was out for a run when she was approached by an unknown male walking toward her. The victim stated that she changed direction to avoid the suspect, but that he grabbed her from behind and knocked her down. He assaulted her while she was on the ground.
The victim was able to fight the man, and he ran off toward Aurora Avenue N.
The woman called 911 and police arrived immediately. An extensive area search was conducted, including K9, but officers were unable to locate the suspect.
Seattle Fire Department responded to the location and treated the victim for minor injuries.
On February 3rd, SPD reported detectives conducted a thorough investigation regarding the assault case and they have determined that the incident did not occur.

Police responded to a reported forced entry burglary on Sunday afternoon. The victim told police that she had arrived home after work to find the front kicked in. The back door was also standing open and the victim said she thinks she may have startled the perpetrator when she arrived home, causing the burglar to flee. She did not see the burglar. Her three cameras had been stolen.
Local wants her family pictures back
On Friday, Jan 28th, BNT reader Judi was unloading her car as she prepared for an event at a church in Crown Hill. She left her trunk open and went inside the church for a few minutes. When she returned she found that her Greenwood schoolbag with all its contents had been stolen.
The most precious item in the bag was a box of family pictures.
The police has been notified but Judi is calling out to the community to get her family photos back. Judy is offering a reward of $50.00 to anyone who finds her pictures.
