Gymnastics
SPSL meet
Mount Rainier took seventh in Saturday's Class 4A South Puget Sound League meet held in its own gymnasium, scoring 158.45 points.
Seamount meet
Kennedy Catholic won Saturday's meet with 138.750 points, with Highline scoring 137.350 for second. Evergreen was sixth with 93.725 points and Tyee seventh with 68.350.
Mia Alvarez of Highline took first in the all-around with 36.0 points ahead of the 34.0 score of Charlotte Dittmar.
Alvarez was first in the bars with a 9.5 ahead of Dittmar's 8.0 and Dittmar won the floor with a 9.435 followed by Alvarez and her 9.25 score. Danielle Calnaham of Kennedy was third with 8.850 points.
Alvarez was the winner of the vault with a 9.425 score and JFK's Ashley Knox was second with an 8.2. Dittmar was third with an 8.175.
Swimming
West Central District 3A
Kennedy scored 416 points to win this past Saturday's event with Highline fifth (45) and Evergreen sixth (38).
The Lancers opened by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:48.60 and Cole Grove won the 200 individual medley in 2:17.57. JFK's Nick Pfeifer was the winner of the 50 free in 23.12 and Highline's Troy Neklason scored 450.15 points in diving. Pfeifer won the 100 free in 52.18 and JFK won the 200 free relay in 1:36.31. Karl Fenster of JFK was the winner of the 100 backstroke in 59.28 with Kennedy winning the 400 free relay in 3:28.95.
West Central District 4A
Mount Rainier scored 138 points for fifth place in the Saturday meet held at Rogers High School in Puyallup.
Ryan Gansneder won the 500 free in 4:54.29 ahead of teammate Dillon Webster's 4:55.83. William Ikeda took the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.01.
