Police Blotter: Assault by body spray

7:18 p.m. on February 3. 92nd block of Greenwood Avenue N.
On Thursday evening, police responded to a call concerning an assault.
Police spoke with the man, who reported that he had been sprayed with a substance by an unknown female.
The man reported that he was crossing the street on his way to catch the bus, when a woman sprayed a substance on his forehead and in his eyes.
The man said that he heard a yell seconds before the assault, assuming it was from the woman.
The man did not get a good look at the woman because he was walking with headphones on and his head down. He also said that he attempted to clean his head off as she fled, so he couldn’t identify her.
The man said that the spray burned for several minutes, but was washed off with water. He believes it may have been body spray.
4:22 a.m. on February 5. 52nd block of Leary Avenue N.W.
In the early morning hours of Saturday, police responded to a call concerning an unconscious person.
Police found a substantial amount of blood next to the victim’s head.
The victim lost consciousness when he was struck and fell to the concrete sidewalk after an altercation with another man about the victim’s intoxication. The victim was continually struck after falling to the ground.
The victim was transferred to Harborview Medical Center and both suspects booked at the North Precinct for aggravated assault.
7:32 a.m. on February 7. 45th block of Leary Way N.W.
Seattle police responded to a burglary attempt at a supermarket on Monday morning. The business owner said that sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, unknown suspects attempted to pry open the south garage door. The property was not entered, but the wood from the garage door was broken away.
1:04 p.m. on February 7. 40th block of Aurora Avenue N.
Police responded to a burglary call on Monday afternoon.
The owner of the company showed police where a hole was punched through the drywall next to the door, where the suspects reached in and unlocked the door from the inside.
The suspects looked through drawers and took several credit and debit cards. The suspects also took about $5 in cash and several boxes of new pens.
A red plastic keg cup was left on the floor near the entrance to the hallway, where the suspects probably exited through.
Police submitted finger prints for evidence.
12:34 p.m. on February 7. 38th block of Woodland Park Avenue N.
On Monday morning, the Seattle Police Department responded to an attempted burglary call at an office building on Woodland Park Avenue N.
Police spoke with a building employee who was there the night before and returned Monday morning. The man said that he found that a closed off back door was partially forced in. Interior drywall was damaged and exterior wood was split in several places, but no entry was made.
There have been no reported suspects.
