The successful BHS boys basketball season finally came to an end last night with a loss to the Puyallup Vikings.
The game was a close one. The Beavers came out strong in the first quarter and so did the Viking. The Beavers came into the second quarter with a two-point lead, which the Vikings diminished to a one-point lead by half time. Going into the last quarter the score was tied. Ballard let down their intensity for a short two to three minute stretch, enabled the Vikings to get ahead. Ballard, unable to catch up, lost the game 74 to 67.
Senior Salim Gloyd had another great game, leading the team with 29 points and 18 rebounds. He shot 77% from the field. Sophomores Seth Berger added 16 points and Johnny Verduin put 10 points in the net 7 rebounds.
