Lutheran High School Students Demonstrate Engineering Know-How at Seattle FIRST® Robotics Competition
Student Teams’ Robots Compete for a Chance to Advance to National Championship
Who: More than 2,500 students, professional mentors, mascots, parents and fans supporting 100 high school teams participating in the Seattle FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition.
What: The FIRST Robotics Competition challenges students – working with professional mentors – to design and build a robot to compete in competitions that measure its effectiveness, the power of teamwork and the determination of students. Teams will battle for regional awards and a spot at the FIRST Championship held April 27-30 in St. Louis, Missouri
When: Thursday, March 17 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Robot testing and inspection
Friday, March 18 9:00 a.m. – 9:30a.m. – Opening ceremonies
9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Qualifying matches
Saturday, March 19 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – Opening ceremonies
9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Qualifying matches
1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Championship rounds
4:30 p.m. – Awards & closing ceremonies
