Firefighters were called to reports of smoke coming from the Barriga Llena Mexican Restaurant located at 30420 Pacific Highway South at about 8:15 a.m. When fire crews arrived, they found light smoke coming from the roof. The quickly made entry into the building and extinguished the fire.

No one was inside the restaurant at the time of the fire. Fire investigators determined the cause to be electrical.

Damage estimates are approximately $35,000.

This incident is not related to the three other suspected arson fires that occurred along Pacific Highway South in the recent weeks.
