The varsity baseball played against Bothell last night in a game that got rained out in the extra inning.
The Beavers started off the game well with a double by Rory and a RBI single by Kangas, gaining a 1-0 lead over Woodinville. With
Brendan Foor on the mound, the Beavers kept Woodinville scoreless until the bottom of the third when Woodinville scored five runs. Ballard didn't score again until the sixth inning, trailing behind Woodinville 5 to 2. Ballard made a great comeback in the seventh inning, taking the lead 6 to 5. Woodinville tied it up in the bottom of the seventh inning and the game went into an extra inning. But then a serious rain shower came down forcing the game to stop.
Coach John Lamm told the BNT this morning that he's unsure if the game will be replayed. Lamm said the outcome of the game will not affect the teams' standings in the league. Ballard continues to be the fourth seed in the playoffs and Woodinville, the second seed.
