Synergy Home Care, who help support caring for aging adults in their homes in the Seattle area, helped kick off Seniors Garden Day and Seniors Garden Sharing in support of the Senior Center of West Seattle. The event produced two results:
A. Professional landscape folks and volunteers will clean up a senior’s yard or garden
B. Community's official start Garden Sharing at a seniors' garden and continue.
The May 14 event started at West Seattle Produce, at 4721 Fauntleroy Way SW with coffee and Sign In from 9 - 11 am.
The garden work took place between 10 am and 3 pm, and then the people involved returned to the West Seattle Produce lot for a Community Potluck and BBQ, from 3-7pm.
