Chief Sealth launches its winter season Saturday, hosting Sultan and Vashon Island for a jamboree.

Kennedy Catholic, meanwhile, is taking part in the Kentridge jamboree that starts at 12 p.m. that day.

The Highline Public Schools Jamboree is Monday, Nov. 27 with Mount Rainier, Tyee and Evergreen at Highline at 7 p.m.

Girls basketball

Mount Rainier is hosting the girls version of the Highline Public Schools Jamboree at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27 that also involves Evergreen, Tyee and Highline.

Seattle visits the San Francisco 49ers for a 1:05 p.m. game on Sunday that can be seen on Channel 13 television.

Seattle opens its Western Conference finals series Tuesday, visiting the Houston Dynamo for a 6:30 p.m. match on FS1.

Seattle hosts the Regina Pats for a 7:05 p.m. Western Hockey League match at the Showare Center in Kent on Wednesday before visiting the Tri-City Americans at the same time Saturday.

Everett pays a visit to the Tri-City Americans at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.

Tacoma’s indoor soccer team is off until Friday, Dec. 1 when it hosts the San Diego Sockers at 7:35 p.m. at the Showare Center in Kent.

Apple Cup

The University of Washington hosts Washington State University for a 5 p.m. Pac-12 football clash Saturday that will be carried on Channel 13.

Both teams stand at 9-2 overall, with WSU ranked No. 14 and the UW ranked No. 15 in the nation. It is the first Apple Cup with both teams ranked in the top 15 at the time of the game.

Husky volleyball

Washington entertains Arizona for a 4 p.m. match Wednesday before wrapping up its regular season with an 8 p.m. home match against Washington State University on Friday.

Washington hosts Seattle University for a 12 p.m. game Friday.

The action can be seen on the Pac-12 cable television network.

The UW women go to Las Vegas to play Creighton at 11 a.m. Friday and Texas at 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

Washington State University visits St. Joseph’s for a 3:30 p.m. game Thursday on ESPN 3.

Cougar women’s hoop

The Cougars play South Florida at 2 p.m. Friday in Estero, Fla. before playing another opponent there Saturday.

Seattle University entertains Portland State University at 6 p.m. Wednesday and UC Davis at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Bulldog men’s hoop

Gonzaga University meets Ohio State for a 9 p.m. game in Portland this Thursday on ESPN2 before playing Stanford or Florida there Friday and an opponent to be determined Sunday.

ESPN2 will air Thursday and Friday’s action.

Bulldog women’s hoop

Gonzaga plays Belmont at 8 p.m. Thursday in Las Vegas, where the Lady Bulldogs will stay for ensuing games Friday and Saturday.
