Highline Memorial Stadium in Burien and French Field in Kent were the gathering places for junior football teams from across the state of Washington and beyond for annual Turkey Bowl proceedings this past weekend.
The event drew squads from as far away as Missoula, Mont. and Eastern Washington as well as those from close to home.
Area contingents included the Puget Sound Lancers of Burien, the Pacific Highway Chargers of Des Moines and West Kent, the SeaTac Sharks and the West Seattle Bengals and SWAC Cougars programs from West Seattle.
In the age 7 and under final, Pacific Highway dealt Puget Sound a 19-13 defeat Sunday.
In other Sunday finals at Highline Memorial, the Lake Stevens Vikings were 36-0 winners over the Pasco Bulldogs in 14U action and the Kamiakin Braves of Kennewick downed the Auburn Ravens by a 40-8 score in 12U action.
