Parazynski shares thoughts about space, adventure, climbing Everest and life lessons in his new memoir, "The Sky Below: A True Story of Summits, Space, and Speed"
On Dec. 9 the Museum of Flight hosts a lecture and book signing with the remarkable Scott Parazynski, the only person to have flown in space and summited Mt. Everest. The astronaut, explorer, physician, inventor and now author, will talk about his new memoir, The Sky Below. The 2 p.m. program is free with Museum admission.
The Sky Below is an intimate, propulsive memoir that offers a rare portrait of NASA from the inside. It gives readers and an unparalleled opportunity to viscerally feel what it's like to train for-and deploy to-a home in zero gravity, while also portraying a passionate astronaut's engagement with challenges on Earth.
"Scott Parazynski's drive, curiosity, inventiveness, and great humor shine through the pages of The Sky Below and will certainly inspire future generations to pursue their dreams with every fiber in their being." -John Glenn, NASA astronaut
