Three arrested following West Seattle construction site burglary
Officers arrested three suspects after a West Seattle construction site was burglarized early Monday morning, Nov. 27. A witness called 911 just before 2 a.m. to report that two people were inside a construction area in the 4800 block of 40 Ave SW. The witnesses added that the suspects were removing items from the site in a box and placing them in a waiting car. Officers responded and found the car traveling along Fauntleroy Way SW. The officers ran the plate of the vehicle and discovered it had been reported stolen from a Renton address. They stopped the stolen car and found three people inside. Witnesses confirmed that the passengers were the same people they had seen in the construction area earlier. Officers placed the two under arrest for burglary and booked them into King County Jail. They also arrested the 28-year-old driver for possession of a stolen vehicle and will work with prosecutors as that case moves ahead.
Officers arrest three teens for robbery in West Seattle
On Thursday evening, Nov. 23, officers arrested three teens suspected of robbery. Officer Jesse Cahill was on patrol near the intersection of California Ave SW and SW Alaska St at 11 p.m. when he saw a disturbance near a bus stop. He drove his patrol car closer and found three young men struggling with a woman over a purse. One of the suspects threw the woman to the ground, and the group fled as Cahill approached. He checked on the 22-year-old victim, who sustained scratches on her hands. Additional officers responded to search for the suspects. They found one, a 15-year-old male, at a nearby bus stop still holding the victim’s purse. He went into custody, and the purse was returned to the victim. A K-9 officer tracked the other two suspects to the 4400 block of 44 Ave SW, where they were taken into custody. One was an 18-year-old male and the other was 15 years old. The officers investigating this robbery noticed that the three suspect’s descriptions matched a robbery from earlier in the evening – where three suspects entered a convenience store in the 4800 block of Erskine Way SW at 6:30 p.m. and began removing items from the shelves. The clerk remained behind the counter as one of the suspects implied he had a gun, allowing the trio to escape. Officers booked the 18-year-old into King County Jail and the two 15-year-olds into the King County Youth Services Center for investigation of robbery.
Group right on California Ave SW
At 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26, officers received a report of a large group fighting in the 4700 block of California Ave SW. When they arrived on the scene, a number of subjects were out in the street yelling, describing a fight that had broken out. A victim was hunched over in a chair, holding his face with blood covering his shirt and hands. There were several people around him handing him napkins to help soak up blood. He had several lacerations on his face. Neither eye was open. The Seattle Fire Department arrived and took care of the victim. Witnesses said the altercation began when one group brushed up against the other. One man then took another man down to the ground and started kicking him. Another man picked up a glass and threw it at someone in the group, jumping into the fight. No other victims came forward to police.
