The Women's March on Jan. 20 drew hundreds of thousands of participants. Some to protest the President, but all to stand for women's rights including many men.

The cops didn’t have a good head count but we know it was in the thousands; women standing up for themselves.
This year, one year into the presidency of an avowed racist, womanizing man whose motto might better be stated as “Make America Hate Again”, women in the nation have banded together to battle stereotypes, sexual harassment and unequal pay levels. They are penning Op-Eds, marching in the streets of American cities and demanding rights previously denied them.
In the photo we are using, you might notice there are as many men as women shown. We are are not really surprised at this. While a few slobs like Harvey Weinstein (and a growing list of politicians and celebs were once admired) are being outed for their behavior, the presence of so many men marching underscores the reality that not every man is a toad.
Most guys get it. Women are worth our respect. And in spite of a lot of pawing of the ground, most men like and appreciate and respect women.
They are not just soft boys. My own mother taught me that. She raised five sons. I look back at those days with some sadness thinking about how she coped with all that testosterone, laundry that never got folded because it was too much and all the loutish behavior boys can render.
What we learned from her and what one might hope other men learned from their mothers, is that there is a brain in these sentient beings, there is a heart that is boundless in its love and there is hope for a dawning recognition that their male offspring might just carry with them an appreciation for the power that is woman.
