Sportswatch: Sports events worth keeping an eye on

High schools
Boys basketball
Chief Sealth visits Ballard for a 7:30 p.m. Tuesday game as West Seattle entertains Cleveland.
The regular Metro League season concludes Friday, with West Seattle hosting Chief Sealth and Ballard entertaining Ingraham at 8:30 p.m.
The North Puget Sound League sub-district tournament runs Thursday through Saturday of this week. Mount Rainier plays at 6 p.m. Friday at Tahoma against an opponent to be determined and Kennedy plays Enumclaw at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tahoma.
South Puget Sound League action concludes Tuesday, with Evergreen hosting White River, Foster visiting Fife, Tyee hosting River Ridge and Highline visiting Renton. All of the action starts at 7 p.m.
SPSL crossover games take place Friday.
Seattle Christian, meanwhile, hosts Charles Wright Academy at 7 p.m. Tuesday with the Nisqually League season continuing next week.
Seattle Lutheran visits Puget Sound Adventist for a 7:30 p.m. Monday game and visits Auburn Adventist at 7 p.m. Wednesday before concluding SeaTac B League action with a 7:30 p.m. Saturday visit to Crosspoint.
Girls basketball
Ballard gets a 7:30 p.m. visit from Chief Sealth on Wednesday as West Seattle hosts Cleveland, and at 7 p.m. Friday West Seattle hosts Chief Sealth and Ballard entertains Ingraham.
North Puget Sound League sub-district tournament play is scheduled from Thursday through Saturday with Kennedy taking on Auburn at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Kentlake. Seattle Christian hosts Charles Wright at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday in regular season action.

Rainier Beach is hosting the Sea-King District championship meet involving Metro League teams this Friday starting at 4 p.m. and this Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
The North Puget Sound League sub-regional is being held the same days, while the SPSL sub-regional is at 9 a.m. Saturday at Orting.
Girls wrestling
The Sea-King District championship meet starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at Rainier Beach for girls.

Tacoma’s indoor soccer team will be at home at the Showare Center in Kent playing the El Paso Coyotes at 7:35 p.m. Friday.
Thunderbirds
Seattle will be occupying the Showare Center in Kent on Saturday, hosting the Victoria Cougars for 7:05 p.m. Western Hockey League action.

Husky men’s basketball
The University of Washington hosts Arizona State for an 8 p.m. game Thursday and Arizona for 7:30 p.m. action Saturday, with the Pac-12 network showing both games live.
Cougar men’s basketball
Washington State University entertains Arizona for 7 p.m. action Wednesday on the Pac-12 network and Arizona State at 1 p.m. Sunday on ESPNU.
Husky women’s basketball
Washington visits Arizona State for a 7 p.m. game Friday on the Pac-12 network and goes to Arizona for an 11 a.m. game Sunday.
Cougar women’s basketball
Washington State University drops in on Arizona at 5 p.m. Friday on the Pac-12 network and visits Arizona State at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Redhawk men’s basketball
Seattle University gets a 7 p.m. visit from Utah Valley on Saturday.
Redhawk women’s basketball
Seattle visits Utah Valley for a 2 p.m. game this coming Saturday.
Falcon men’s basketball
Seattle Pacific University entertains Alaska Anchorage for 7 p.m. Thursday action and Alaska Fairbanks at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Seattle Pacific visits Central Washington for a 5:15 p.m. game Thursday and Northwest Nazarene at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
Bulldog men’s basketball
San Diego visits the Gonzaga University Bulldogs for a 6 p.m. Thursday game on ROOT Sports and Brigham Young University comes to Spokane to play the Bulldogs at 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2.
