Quail Park Memory Care Residences at 4515 41st Ave SW were due to open on April 12 with a celebration and residents moving in but the company shared via email the notice that they cannot move dementia patients into the new facility due to a lack of a Temporary Certicate of Occupancy from the city of Seattle.
"Essentially the reason for the delay is completion of a successful inspection by the Fire Marshal, whose core mission is the safety of permanent and temporary occupants of any building they approve for occupancy. We had hoped that we would have achieved that by now, but unfortunately we have not. We do see this as a temporary delay in opening this building for our residents and families. We will keep you updated as to when the Fire Marshal's and any other necessary approvals are in hand."
They do not have a specfic date at this time for opening but when they are sure of approvals the next update will include a date-certain for move-ins.
