Sub Pop Records will announce the band lineup for their 30th Anniversary event, SPF 30 to be held on Alki Beach on Aug. 11. The event, likely the largest one day event in West Seattle history is expected to draw a crowd of 30,000 people.
The announcement will be made at the KEXP Gathering Space // 472 1st Ave N, Seattle in Seattle Center between 9am – 10:30am and the event is free and open to the public.
Announcer John in the Morning will welcome Jonathan Poneman and Megan Jasper of Sub Pop to announce the line up.
Following the announcement, the event will feature a concert with Shabazz Palaces, unveil the new Sub Pop art exhibit, and give away deluxe Sub Pop gift packs. (Winner must be present to win.)
Sub Pop has been holding a series of community meetings to prepare people in the nearby neighborhoods for the event that will run from Noon to 10 pm on Aug. 11. Westside Seattle has covered some of the meetings that revealed more details about the event.
