Highline launches another summer of baseball action at Mel Olson Stadium at Steve Cox Park in White Center this Friday when it hosts the North Sound Emeralds for a 7:05 p.m. game.

The Northwest Honkers soar in for a game at the same time Saturday before the Bears turn around to visit the Honkers at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.

Seattle’s Major League Baseball franchise hosts a Texas Rangers team that boasts three area graduates in its bullpen for four games at Safeco Field this week.

The action starts at 1:10 p.m. Monday and at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Chief Sealth graduate Keone Kela has been the closer for the Rangers this year and the Texas bullpen also includes Thomas Jefferson graduate Tony Barnette and Mount Rainier graduate Brandon Mann.

The Tampa Bay Rays follow the Rangers into town, playing games at 7:10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 1:10 p.m. Sunday.

All Mariners games can be seen on the ROOT Sports cable television network.

Seattle visits Real Salt Lake for a 6:30 p.m. Major League Soccer match on Saturday that can be seen on JOEtv.

Seattle’s women’s basketball team entertains Washington for a 7 p.m. game at the KeyArena on Tuesday and Las Vegas comes to town at the same time Thursday.

The Storm breezes off to Dallas for a 5 p.m. Saturday game.

Seattle hosts Orlando for 6 p.m. women’s soccer action at Seattle Memorial Stadium this coming Sunday.

Seattle visits Houston for a 6 p.m. Major League Rugby match Saturday that can be seen live on CBSSN.

Rainiers

Tacoma is in Las Vegas for a 7:05 p.m. Pacific Coast League baseball contest Monday and for 12:05 p.m. action Tuesday.

The Rainiers come home to Cheney Stadium to take on Salt Lake City at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday ahead of a 5:05 p.m. game Saturday and a 1:35 p.m. game Sunday.

The Auburn horse racing oval is open for action at 2 p.m. Monday, 6:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
