The Delridge Neighborhood Development Association proudly presents the 19th Annual Arts in Nature Festival at Camp Long in West Seattle August 25th and 26th.
They are centering art, nature, and neighborhood for this 2-day must-see event, and asking artists to play with the concept of Convergence: where artist, audience, and all art disciplines intersect and interact with each other and the natural 68-acre landscape at Camp Long.
Throughout multiple intimate but spectacular outdoor performance spaces, you'll experience dance, music, video, sculpture, photography, puppetry, poets/writers, inter-, post-, transdisciplinary and educational works, traditional arts & crafts, durational works, and more. The list of artists is here.
The festival, even at this late date is seeking vendors and artists to participate.
And, in the 8rustic cabins, you'll find weekend-long art installations of all kinds. Enjoy hands-on art and nature activities for youth and adults, and tours of the winding hiking trails through the great outdoors; participate in writing workshops and open mics, a marimba workshop, Native American storytelling, costumed hikes through the forest, and naturalist events!
If you get hungry, they'll have a convoy of food trucks + a beer garden where you can wet your whistle.
