Information from the Seattle Police Blotter
Police arrested two men and recovered a plethora of prohibited substances after officers spotted a stolen car driving in Georgetown early this morning.
Around 1:20 AM, officers noticed a reported stolen 2012 red Volkswagen Golf driving near 13th Avenue South and South Bailey Street. They followed the car to Interstate 5 and Edgar Martinez Drive South and pulled the vehicle over.
After receiving a strange story from the driver–who claimed he’d bought the car from someone on the street, and then offered to show police the title for the car, but was then unable to produce it–officers were able to contact the car’s rightful owner, who came to the scene to retrieve it.
Officers arrested the 38-year-old driver his a 51-year-old passenger and seized several bags from the car.
In those bags, officers later found:
- 117.3 grams of Meth
- 233 grams of Heroin
- 3.8 grams of mushrooms
- 5 tabs of LSD
- 12 tablets of Adderall
- 24.4 grams of Xanax
- and 46 grams of Marijuana
Both suspects were booked into the King County Jail.
