Officers arrested two people after they attempted to sell stolen tools to undercover officers.
On January 26th, a woman reported that her storage unit in the 4800 block of Puget Way Southwest had been burglarized. According to the victim, the thieves had stolen multiple expensive tools before fleeing.
On Wednesday, February 5th, the woman walked into the Southwest precinct to tell officers she had found her tools for sale on an online marketplace. Undercover officers contacted the seller and asked them to meet in West Seattle to see if they could purchase the tools.
The suspect agreed to meet the officers and to bring the tools. The officers confirmed they were the victim’s tools and took a 31-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman into custody.
