Acknowledging the general decline in civic participation and the ever growing need for it, the Delridge Neighborhood Development Council (DNDC) is hosting a series of meetings in 2020 with various City departments.
The aim of this series is to connect civic minded folks of all stripes with agencies they likely need or want to connect with. The series will focus on the same three questions throughout:
- What are the opportunities that you have for civic engagement? This would include individual and group opportunities.
- How do you make new opportunities available? How is sign-up managed?
- How does an individual or group launch an initiative or project with or in partnership with your department?
The series will be kicked off with, appropriately, Osbaldo Hernandez with the Department of Neighborhoods. All are welcome, especially those looking to make a strong connection with their community in 2020 (and beyond).
The meeting will be held at Neighborhood House (6400 Sylvan Way SW, Seattle, WA 98126), and begins at 7:00 PM Feb 19.
