David Bestock, Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA) Executive Director shared that over the last 3 weeks, 123 donors contributed over $33,000 to support DNDA’s affordable housing residents and program participants, sustain DNDA with general operating dollars, and implement adaptive online programming for youth and families.
DNDA is still in need of support of course and is offering virtual programs during the pandemic.
For every $10 donated, $5 will go directly to payments and supplies for the residents in 7 affordable housing properties, and $5 will go to support DNDA programs.
"We’ve acquired masks and hand sanitizer and we are in the process of distributing these items to our residents. Our Art team has been distributing art kits to youth and families participating in our online DNDA Art Challenge. Our Nature team has been hosting a series of gardening, nature walk, and cooking workshops online," said Bestock.
