Dan Austin of Peel and Press organized the effort to donate these turkeys to families in need in West Seattle and now he wants your help to buy hams for folks that visit the West Seattle Food Bank.
2020 has been challenging for everyone. But the people facing hunger are in greater need than ever and Dan Austin, owner of Peel and Press in the Morgan Junction, in addition to being a leader for the restaurant industry in the state found time to champion a donation effort of turkeys for Thanksgiving.
Now he's doing it again for Christmas. So this is your chance to help.

"I am challenging you lovely folks to help out some of our neighbors in the community. We donated lot of turkeys to the food bank for Thanksgiving. This year the need was overwhelming and it was an emotional day for me. We handed them straight out of my SUV and they were gone in about 20 minutes. I feel like we as a community has to step up for Christmas as well if we are able. I am will to match up to $1,000 in donations to load the food bank up with Hams so people can enjoy a special meal in this challenging year. If you can, please join us. Kevin Broveleit of West Seattle Realty has agreed to match our effort too.
You can call in a donation over the phone, in person or on Venmo @PnPhamfortheholidays2020"
