Giomi reaches double-double
It was double the pleasure for West Seattle High School graduate Lydia Giomi on Sunday afternoon.
The 6-foot, 6-inch senior forward for the University of Oregon women's basketball team reached a double-double in a 69-52 win over Washington.
Giomi led the Ducks with 10 rebounds and also reached double figures in scoring with 11 points.
She also added an assist in her effort as the first player off the bench.
The game was played in Eugene, Ore.
Pryor sits as Washington wins
West Seattle graduate Nate Pryor did not play as the University of Washington men's basketball team won back-to-back games.
The Huskies defeated Colorado on Thursday and Utah on Sunday afternoon.
