A 35-year-old man brandished a realistic-looking airsoft gun in a brief robbery spree late Tuesday before police arrested him.
Just before 8pm, the man reported approached a man and a woman near the 4700 block of Fauntleroy Way Southwest and demanded cash and threatened to kill them if they called police. They handed the man a small amount of money and quickly left the area before calling police.
The suspect then continued down the street, where he again pointed his fake pistol at four women in a vehicle, threatened them, and demanded cash. They also handed over a small amount of money before fleeing the area and calling 911.
Finally, the suspect approached a woman in a car outside a bank in the 4700 block of Fauntleroy Way SW, pointed the fake gun at her and threatened to kill her. The suspect then began banging on the bank’s windows and fled further down the block where police found him and took him into custody.
Police recovered the realistic-looking airsoft gun from the man’s pocket, booked him into the King County Jail for robbery and felony harassment and returned stolen cash to several of the man’s victims.
